Each year our volunteers work with hundreds of sea turtle along the coastline of New South Wales. The North Coast branch, based in Ballina, is the home of ASRs sea turtle hospital where around 60 sea turtle are treated each year.
Volunteers also take part in a wide range of sea turtle conservation activities including nest identification and protection, community education and marine debris clean-ups.
The best part of our job, of course, is releasing a sea turtle that we have brought back from the brink of death. Our sea turtles are released into the Cape Byron Marine Park.
Many thanks to CPR Management (www.cprmanagement.com.au) for producing this video of us releasing sea turtles!
