Initially based in Wollongong and covering the Illawarra region, ASR South Coast was launched on 28 October 2005 under the leadership of Julie Clarke. Since then, the branch’s profile and membership has steadily expanded, now actively covering xx of coast between Wollongong and Merimbula. While not active in Sydney, Wollongong rescuers will attend injured pelicans there as required.
